ANN ARBOR
,
Michigan
, March 20, 2007 -- Registration is now open for the
International Robots & Vision Show, June 12-14,
2007, in Rosemont (Chicago),
Illinois
. For free tickets, go to www.robots-vision-show.info/registration_info
, or call 734/994-6088. The Show is sponsored by
three national trade associations, and places an
emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.
"Training
is central to everything at this Show," said
Donald A. Vincent, Executive Vice President, Robotic
Industries Association. "Users matter so much,
and their success with this technology is what
drives the industry, so we slashed Conference fees
and didn’t skimp on sessions or instructors. We
can do that. We (RIA, AIA and MCA) are the top trade
associations for robots, vision and motion control,
with more than 550 members."
A
sponsor of the International Robots & Vision
Show since the event’s inception in 1976 is
Robotic Industries Association. As machine vision
grew, Automated Imaging Association emerged as
another sponsor in the 1980’s. Motion Control
Association, the third sponsor, is a fast-growing
trade group founded less than a year ago to address
the needs of advanced mechatronics for motion
control. Operating under one roof, these trade
associations represent corporate members that make,
use and influence the future for robots, vision and
motion control.
“New
this year is a program of self-guided learning demos
on the Show floor,” said Vincent. “Exhibitors
marked with Hands-On Highway signs are places to get
first-hand, interactive experiences from four-minute
demonstrations with the goal of making the
technology easy to understand.”
Robots,
machine vision and motion control are highlighted at
the International Robots & Vision Show as three
keys to success for modern manufacturers. How and
why will become clear to more than 5,000 attendees
as they convene with at least 250 exhibitors, dozens
of instructors and an international contingent to
gather intelligence, share tips and tricks, and get
hands-on experience to see what works best from one
application to the next.
One
ticket gets visitors into two shows this June,
thanks to collocation with Sensors Expo which has
the largest showcase of sensing technologies and
systems used on the factory floor. Show tickets are
free in advance or $75 at the door. Discount rates
for Robots & Vision Conference sessions end May
14. Full details are at www.robots-vision-show.info.
